PayMint Secures Central Bank Approval to Launch Prepaid Meeza Card in Partnership with ADIB-Egypt

PayMint, a leading fintech company in Egypt, has received final approval from the Central Bank of Egypt to launch its first Meeza prepaid card, in strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB-Egypt).

Advancing Financial Inclusion & Digital Payments

This milestone supports PayMint’s ongoing efforts to expand its digital financial services and promote electronic payments in alignment with Egypt’s national direction toward a cashless economy and broader financial inclusion.

The new prepaid card enables PayMint users to:

  • Withdraw cash
  • Make in-store purchases
  • Pay online within Egypt
  • Track balance, usage, and manage card controls directly through the PayMint mobile app

A Strategic Collaboration with ADIB-Egypt

Mohamed Ali, CEO and Managing Director of ADIB-Egypt, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting that it reflects the bank’s commitment to adopting advanced digital solutions aligned with Sharia principles to empower customers with secure and seamless financial tools.

Sherif Moneer, Head of Cards at ADIB-Egypt, added that the new card is expected to gain strong traction given the growing reliance on digital financial solutions in everyday transactions.
